A wonderful wife, an excellent cook and a loving mother are just a few of positive characteristics a woman can have in her marriage.
For all the mess that children can cause in a marriage, it is undoubtedly true that women have to encounter stress at some point along the way. In fact, they suffer from stress more than any other family member.
Now, can you ask yourself what husbands do about it? Is it correct to say that husbands cause more stress in their wives’ lives? You may already have the answer, but first, have an open mind to look at this problem from several angles.
In today’s society, many women have admitted that they do not have the responsibility of raising their children alone rather than having their partner’s support by choice. They have been forced to do so by prevailing circumstances.
But why does that have to happen? To answer this question, read more about the facts below.
Many women have been left to take on the responsibility of being doctors, cooks, event planners and even maids. Although they act as if they are superhuman beings, the reality is that they are not.
The average person will have to run out of steam or even need time to rest. Doing a lot of work at home is likely to reduce their productivity if they have to provide services to the outside world.
The result revealed that the average woman has a stress level of about 8.5 out of 10. In addition, 46% of the women who responded to the survey confirmed that the stress they experience comes from husbands. They are greater sources of stress than children.
From survey conducted, the researchers obtained a lot of data worth sharing. In a group of four mothers with partners, it is the mothers who do most, if not all, of the parenting and household duties. Their partners are rarely involved in that. In most cases, they are out of the house or too busy to worry about the children.
Also, about 1 in 5 mothers who do not receive any help from their husbands were reported to suffer great stress on a daily basis. They have also complained that they are not having enough time in the day to complete all the scheduled tasks. They are forced to postpone them to the next day which causes even more stress.
A surprising discovery made by the researchers is that the result of such stress is the deterioration of health observed in both partners.
A study done by Padova University shows that in the case where a woman dies before a man, the man who is left with the responsibility develops signs of poor health. On the other hand, if it is the husband who dies before his wife, she will live a healthier life afterwards.
How to solve it: The best way to solve this problem is to discuss it with the partner involved. When you both open your hearts and agree to share the duties, you will be freer and more willing to take on the task. Splitting the duty has been proven to be effective in solving such problems, thus reducing stress and, therefore, leading to a happy and healthy life.
Doing this to the best of their knowledge and ability. Each of them strives to be the best husband and father they can be, but it’s unfortunate that some wives don’t trust their husbands with the duties. Instead, you will see them prepared to take on the chores.
How to fix it: the best way for a mother to get rid of the excess burden she has is to rely on her husband first. The two of them form a team experiencing this problem together, and therefore, it is appropriate for them to overcome this together as well. This will give the mother plenty of time to even enjoy leisure. Even if dad takes the kids to play in the mud, so be it.
