The good news is, on the days when the comfort and warmth of your bed far outweigh your desire to get out of the house, you can easily do a mini-workout from your bed or couch. Yes, you read that correctly. Even when your feet are up and Netflix is streaming, you can still squeeze in some exercises.
Exercises you can do from your couch
1. Remember bicycle exercise, it was often performed at school in gym class.
I suggest you do it, but only from a sitting position. The load on your abs will not decrease if you keep your posture. Try not to put your legs on the floor, but if you can’t – lean on them. Keep your hands behind your head. Do 30 repetitions, if you feel tired, stop and rest for 10 seconds, then continue.
2. Sitting on the couch, keeping your back straight, move and sit on the floor, then back on the couch.
Then do 30 repetitions, rest, and repeat another 30 again.
3. The next exercise is similar to the usual crunch exercise. Only it is easier to do, but it doesn’t make it any less effective.
Back straight, hands behind head, bend at the knees. Do as long as you can (preferably not less than a minute).
4. If you have strength left, you can do this exercise with a pillow. It will act as a weighting agent, it is better to take a small one.
Squeeze it with your legs. Then try to press down as close to the stomach as possible. Don’t forget to keep your posture. Try to do at least 30 reps.
Agree that these are not the most difficult exercises. And if you do them every day and eat less (but indulge yourself with something tasty from time to time), you will definitely lose your stomach and your sides will simply melt away.
