Cold fruit dessert

When the first heat arrives, you want to eat something fresh, like cold fruit dessert, a delicious dessert that manages to give great satisfaction. In fact, it is a decidedly good and delicious parfait that it is really hard to stop eating.

It is perfect for children, especially if you want them to have a healthy and real afternoon snack, but even adults will not remain indifferent and will certainly arm themselves with a teaspoon. Among other things, you can enjoy it whenever you feel like it, because there is no ideal time to do it, basically every single occasion is the right one, so don’t miss the recipe!

And if you are still not convinced enough, we also tell you that if you are on a diet, nothing will stop you from enjoying a satisfying slice, because you will find yourself in front of a low-calorie dessert. The preparation could not be easier or quicker, since there is no cooking involved and once the mixture is obtained, it is simply poured into a container and left to rest in the refrigerator.

Cold fruit dessert

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Resting time in the fridge: 3 hours
Total time: about 3 hours and 20 minutes
Servings: 10 slices

Ingredients

350g low fat unsweetened white yogurt
150ml milk
50ml water
50g stevia sweetener (or alternatively 100g sugar)
7g agar agar
6 strawberries halved
1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 mandarin, peeled and sliced
1 mandarin, peeled and sliced
1 mango, peeled and diced

Note: If you are using a different type of sweetener, calculate the correct amount based on the amount of sugar shown. If you like, you can also reduce the amount of sugar or sweetener in the recipe to make a less sweet dessert.

Preparation

  1. First, place the sliced kiwi, mango, tangerine and strawberries in a rectangular glass mold (including the edges), mix to your liking and set aside for a moment.
  2. Place the stevia sweetener (or sugar) in a saucepan, add the agar agar, mix with a spatula, add the water and milk and mix again.
  3. Turn the heat to medium, stir and bring to a boil. Slowly add the yogurt, stirring, and simmer over low heat for another 2 minutes.
  4. Once this is done, add the fruit cut into pieces, give it another good stir, turn off the heat and use a ladle to pour the mixture into the pan.
  5. Finally, smooth the surface, place in the refrigerator to set for at least 3 hours, then turn the dessert upside down on a plate, cut into slices and serve.
