5 exercises to tighten and tone your arms for summer

This 10-minute upper body workout is a great way to tone up flabby arms for the summer.

If tightening and toning the arms is on your list of summer goals, try adding these exercises with your own weight and dumbbells will help you work out your arm muscles well, visually making them more toned and beautiful. These five simple exercises can be done at the gym or at home..

Doing these moves for one set of 10 repetitions of each and then repeating the entire circuit three times. You will end up doing 30 repetitions of each exercise.

1- Bicep curls

The biceps curl is the perfect quintessential arm exercise. It tones and strengthens the front of arms, which many people associate with the ability to “flex muscles. Do this exercise 10 times and do 3 sets.

2- Hug a tree

This exercise works the biceps from a different angle, while also working the sides of chest (and that pesky area next to armpits) and sculpting the shoulders. Do this exercise 10 times, and perform a total of 3 sets.

3- Triceps kickbacks

The triceps area is what people refer to when they say their arms are flabby. This is the part of the arm that jiggles when you shake it. To tighten this area and reduce the “jiggle” you need to strengthen the back of arms. The most basic dumbbell exercise to achieve this is the triceps kickback. Perform this 10 times and complete 3 sets total.


5- V-Exercises

The V-shaped exercise is best for toning the front of the shoulder. For this exercise, hold the dumbbells at hip level. You will repeat it 10 times and do 3 sets in total during the workout.

5- Serve the platter

This move is a three-in-one, working the biceps, shoulder and chest. Start with your arms at your side. Repeat this 10 times, and complete 3 sets total throughout your workout.
